I loved photographing this autumn wedding at Ainsworth House in Oregon City. If you’ve followed my blog for long, you probably know that the Ainsworth House is one of my favorite places to work. It is such a great venue, with lots of variety in the gardens, and always has the prettiest light.

Autumn Wedding at Ainsworth House

This wedding had it all! A gorgeous couple, beautiful flowers by my favorite florist, Flowers By Alana, and a most spectacular fall day. Seriously, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect for an outdoor autumn wedding in Portland.

I started the day with the girls getting ready, and then some of the guys getting ready. The couple opted against a first look, so we did some portraits of the bridesmaids separately from the groomsmen. Soon, it was time for the ceremony! They were wed under the 150-year-old historic and protected pine tree in the backyard. It really is such an impressive and massive tree.

After the ceremony, the couple signed their marriage license and then met up with all their guests for a big group portrait. I took it from the balcony of the house, which is ideal for this kind of large group shot. The guests headed to cocktail hour, while I roamed the grounds with the couple taking portraits with the last of the evening light. Then it was off to the reception for the party and dancing!
