These Caswell Sculpture Garden Engagement Photos were so much fun to create! The sculpture garden is not only a great venue for a wedding, but it’s a beautiful location for any kind of portrait session as well! And it’s only a short distance to the Sandy River, which is another great photo location.

The sculpture garden has a small pond with a row boat, a cute cabin, lots of trees, and of course, lots of sculpture! The owner makes all the sculptures. They bring so much personality to the venue!

Caswell Sculpture Garden Engagement Photos

First, let me say, these aren’t technically engagement photos since the couple have been married for 10 years. However, they had planned a big vow renewal celebration, also at Caswell Sculpture Garden. Their vow renewal celebration was just like a wedding! See their vow renewal photos here. They were full of excitement about all the planning, and since this was my first time meeting them, it just felt more like an engagement session to me!

We started their session at the garden. We took a few around the stone arch that served as their ceremony backdrop. It’s such a nice looking arch, and I love the little lovebird sculpture perched on top! You can see the pond is behind the arch. So pretty!

We explored the property and found a lot of pretty spots. It is such a lush and green space. A lovely green moss covered tree branch was perfect for some romantic sitting shots. The cabin also made a fun backdrop, with it’s outdoor clawfoot tub. The cabin serves as the bride and groom getting ready quarters on the event day. Downstairs is a lovely bridal room, with makeup stations, a dressing room, and lots of seating. And the upstairs is a loft for the guys, including a huge television.

Engagement Photos On The Sandy River

Afterwards, we headed down the street to the Sandy River Beach area. I had never been there, but I was sure we’d find some fun spots to use for photos. I was right! There were some great rocks overlooking the river. These two had no problems climbing up the rocks to get to the perfect overlook. I love my adventurous couples!
