Circus Themed Wedding at Moonlight Events
This Alice in Wonderland meets circus-themed wedding at Moonlight Events in Vancouver, WA was one for the books! I’ve been looking forward to this fun event since last year, and it did not disappoint!
Circus Themed Wedding at Moonlight Events
This couple has been together for over 15 years and knew they wanted to throw a wedding that would throw tradition aside and really wow their friends and family. In fact, they actually called it their “UnWedding”. And they aimed to do as many things backwards as they could! The groom wore white and the bride wore a black tux-inspired dress, for instance. The white suit was custom-made in Italy, complete with a top hat! And the dress was not only custom-made by The House of Rose (THOR) in Lake Oswego, but incorporated a selection of colors that are meaningful to the couple.
Under the Big Top
They hired one of my favorite wedding planners, Nicole Issler Events, to help run the show and bring their vision to life. She did such an amazing job finding the perfect details and vendors for the big day. Runestone Events draped almost the entire venue in black and gold fabric, floor to ceiling, for the big-top effect. It was seriously one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen done at a wedding.
They wanted their wedding to not only be like a show but to really show their guests more about their lives and personalities as a couple. For instance, they created a virtual world over the course of their relationship, in Second Life, complete with dozens of characters. They trained the videographer, MMM Productions, to use the platform and he created an amazing drone-style video. The couple played it during the reception to give their guests a little peek into that side of them. Every little detail represented the couple in some way, or was brought into the vision with the guests’ enjoyment in mind. Like every guest getting their own personal-sized two-tier cake!!!

The un-wedding was truly incredible and summed the unconventional life they share into a memorable union. After already spending 16 years together this was a spectacular way to keep a typical ceremony fun and lively for all the friends and family who traveled from all over the country to attend. I am truly grateful to be part of this celebration for my brother and his “un-bride” !

Wow it was beautiful I loved it all, you both looked amazing this will go down in history, very creative and looks like it was so much fun the cakes Auroras dress Rick’s suit the pictures are awesome, and I hope you both have a long life time of adventures . ❤️

You captured this whimsical day so wonderfully Crystal, as I knew you would! The entire un-wedding turned out perfectly and it is so fun scrolling through these pictures and seeing the happy couple!! I am so glad I got to be a part of this special day.
