These two were set to be married last week, but unfortunately the pandemic had other plans. Nearly every wedding I had on the books for this year has been rescheduled for next year. I’m certainly going to miss photographing those pretty Lace Flower Girl Dresses. My heart goes out to all the couples trying to make wedding plans during this uncertain time. I actually photographed this colorful spring engagement in Portland last spring. (I’ve just been so behind on blogging! The only good the pandemic seems to have brought, is to get caught up!) And I figured now would be a great time to feature their session and celebrate them!

COLORFUL SPRING ENGAGEMENT IN PORTLAND

I absolutely love photographing amongst the cherry blossom trees in Spring. The pink color is so refreshing and fun and vibrant. That’s everything I try to incorporate into my images all in one! It’s too bad the flowers only stick around for a couple of weeks. The pandemic basically canceled cherry blossom season this year. What a bummer! Bummers all around! But at least we still have love (insert googley eyes and “awwww” sound effects).

These two are so cute together! And I adore the bride’s hot pink highlights. What a perfect match for the pink blossoms! I think they may be just a bit shy (at least in front of the camera), but I think they look so comfortable and sweet with each other. You can really feel the love between them! Even when couples are a bit camera shy, it usually doesn’t take long for me to get them loosened up. I will ask them to give piggy-back rides, to climb trees, and lots of other silly things that often encourages giggles. There was a lot of laughter and I know they had a fun time! I can’t wait for their wedding next year!
