I’ve been looking forward to this colorful wedding at The Foundry since meeting the groom’s mother at a wedding I photographed in 2019! Although the pandemic pushed their date back further and further, it was worth the extra wait… it was so. much. fun! This couple is just awesome! Sweet, fun, stylish, constantly traveling, the list goes on! I not only photographed their official engagement session at Lewis and Clark, back in Feb 2020, but I got to work with them again a few months ago, for a colorful city session just for fun. I haven’t blogged that one yet, but here’s a pic from that session on my Instagram.

Colorful Wedding at The Foundry

I started this day with just a couple of quick pics of the bride getting into her dress in the bridal suite, and then we headed out to the boardwalk for their first look. The bride looked amazing, and I loved her dress, but I also have to comment on the groom’s attire as well! My friends down in San Francisco – Fashion Tailored – made him a custom suit and it looked fantastic! I was so excited when I heard they had been in contact with each other and couldn’t wait to see it! After the first look, we did wedding party photos and family photos, and then we headed back for the ceremony over the river.

The groom’s uncle was the officiant. He is a professional voice-over actor, and although no one mentioned anything about him being a comedian, I’m pretty sure he must be. It was definitely the funniest ceremony I’ve ever heard. The couple hired the Dance Hall Days band for all the entertainment. They are the. Best. They really kept the party going all night, such great energy!
