This creekside wedding at Hornings Hideout in North Plains was a perfect venue for this nature-loving couple.
Creekside Wedding at Hornings Hideout
Hornings Hideout is one of my favorite wedding venues in the Portland area. This happened to be the first time I’ve photographed a wedding at the “Creekside” area of the venue, and I think it is my new favorite! The whole creekside area is full of lush ferns and rich greens, little wildflowers, and nature trails. It is tucked away mostly beneath a tall forest, and opens up to a large grassy field, perfect for a picnic. And let’s not forget to mention the creek that runs throughout! The sound of the creek was so peaceful and runs right next to the ceremony area.
The couple wanted their wedding to have a summer picnic feel, and I think they achieved that! All of the colorful flowers were grown in the bride’s garden. The bridesmaids all made their own bouquets using those flowers! They had a really fun woodfired pizza truck on-site to make pizzas and other yummy foods. And, they hired a blues band to play music for the evening. There were lots of lawn games for guests to play as well!
