This Downtown Portland minimony was just adorable. They met under the cherry blossom trees at the waterfront for their first look. Afterward we headed to their intimate ceremony at Gallo Nero, a restaurant where they shared many meals while dating. The previous evening I photographed their Roce ceremony, where the groom was bathed in coconut milk.

We still had a hint of pink remaining in the cherry blossom trees for their first look. The groom met me first, and the bride walked to meet us from a nearby hotel. Her two uncles walked along with her as she approached, which was really sweet. I took some portraits of the bride and groom along the waterfront and around Old Town, and then we headed to Gallo Nero.

Gallo Nero is a delicious family-owned Tuscan restaurant in SW Portland. The couple loves their food and shared many meals from there over the time they’ve dated. Part of the restaurant used to be an art gallery. Now that space is used for small events, like micro weddings and elopements. It was the perfect urban yet romantic space for their minimony.

The bride’s brother officiated the ceremony, and some toasts were given. The bride and groom also had a first dance to their favorite song, Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves. There were lots of happy tears, and you can tell this couple means so much to so many. There was also a ton of laughter!

And did I mention? These two are also having a maximony in 2023 to celebrate with a larger crowd. I absolutely can’t wait for it!
