I love these engagement photos taken at Lewis & Clark College. I have always wanted to photograph there, but it’s just never worked out until now! The groom grew up in the neighborhood and growing up spent lots of time on and around the campus.
These two live in LA and were visiting Oregon only once before their planned wedding date. So of course we took the chance to schedule their engagement session! It was a cold and wet February day, but that didn’t matter! Unfortunately COVID-19 had other plans for the couple, and they have rescheduled until next year.
Today was meant to be their original wedding date! I thought it fitting to share this blog post today as a little celebration of their love and the date that couldn’t be. The pandemic has definitely made things interesting for everyone. I can’t imagine what it’s like to plan a wedding around its uncertainty. I’m impressed by all the couples who are going with the flow and rolling with the punches.
Lewis & Clark College is such a beautiful campus. There are forests and nature trails, overlooks and lovely architecture, and the prettiest little garden you’ve ever seen. A reflecting pool sits in the middle of the garden. Unfortunately the reflecting pool was drained for winter, but it still looked neat.
We explored the garden and grounds. There is so much laughter with these two! They are so sweet together and easily carried out any prompt I gave them. You can see their love is so natural and easy! I also love the colors of their outfits, they coordinate so well with the surroundings and give the images a bit of warmth. I can’t wait for their wedding next Summer!
