This Gorge Crest Vineyards wedding was absolutely beautiful, even though the weather had plans of its own. The couple created a celebration filled with thoughtful details, incredible florals, and so much personality.

You may notice something a little different about these photos. The couple requested that I not publicly share any images showing recognizable faces. The day was far too beautiful not to share, so I selected plenty of gorgeous details and non-identifying moments instead.

A Gorge Crest Vineyards Wedding in the Clouds

The couple originally planned to spend most of their wedding day outdoors. However, the Columbia River Gorge delivered an unusually chilly day with plenty of its famous wind.

There was also a chance of showers throughout the surrounding area. Everyone decided keeping guests warm and comfortable inside for the reception was the better choice.

Mount Hood stayed hidden behind the clouds for almost the entire day. Every so often, we caught little glimpses of the mountain trying to peek through.

The clouds actually created a beautiful backdrop for the colorful florals. Pops of blue sky appeared occasionally and made everything look even more dramatic.

The lavender field was also absolutely perfect. It added another beautiful layer of color to an already gorgeous property, and made for some of my favorite portraits of the day.

Hand Painted Details and Incredible Florals

Every detail felt intentional and completely personal to the couple. The bride hand-painted individual birds for each table number sign.

Each place setting also included a matching information card about that particular bird. I loved discovering all the different illustrations and details throughout the reception.

Bloomsbury PNW created the incredible florals, which brought so much color into the day. They looked especially beautiful against the moody Gorge skies.

Even the wind contributed some memorable moments. The bride wore an incredibly long veil that came alive during the outdoor ceremony. It repeatedly blew directly into the groom’s face, which made for some pretty funny and great moments.

An Amazing Vendor Team

The vendor team for this Gorge Crest Vineyards wedding truly knocked everything out of the park.

Devil’s Food Catering created a colorful vegetarian menu that looked every bit as good as it tasted. I am still thinking about the corn pudding.

Unveiled Events kept everything running smoothly while staying incredibly attentive throughout the day. Event Team Entertainment kept the dance floor full once the party started.

Despite the chilly weather, the entire celebration felt warm, colorful, and full of life. It was such a beautiful day to photograph.
