One of my team photogs recently photographed this Gray Gables Estate Wedding, and I’m just over the moon (and clouds) with how beautiful it all is!

Gray Gables Estate Wedding

This adorable and fashionable couple did not want to see each other prior to the ceremony. Therefore, the day started with some photos of the bride and her party and then separately with the groom and his party. I can’t get over how amazing the bride’s hair details and her dress were! The couple were going for a touch of a celestial theme, and I think they hit the nail on the head. They even built a custom moon and clouds wooden cutout for decor and a photo backdrop. It worked perfectly against all the cafe and twinkle lights of the venue.

After some portraits it was time for the ceremony! The sweet groom was very emotional, even before he caught a glimpse of his bride walking down the aisle. Just looking through the images, you can feel the love and adoration, and it is very touching.

Gray Gables Estate is such a gorgeous and unique venue. The ceremony space is underneath a beautiful structure with columns and draping. The gardens and landscaping is very lush, and no detail is left unturned. After the ceremony, the couple had portraits with their family and the entire wedding party together. Then, they roamed the gardens for intimate portraits of the two of them before joining the reception!

Southeast Portland Reception Venue

The reception was held in the ballroom, which is just lovely, with more draping and lots of crystal chandeliers. After the wedding party was announced, there were toasts and cake cutting. Then the couple’s first dance, followed by parent dances. Following the parent dances, the couple did a traditional prosperity dance. This is a traditional dance in Fillipino and Southeast Asian cultures, where guests can gift the couple money. A necklace of money is created and wrapped around the couple while they dance. The groom’s dad sang a song for them while they danced. Finally, after an energetic dance party, the night ended with a classic sparkler exit.
