I am so excited to announce that I am looking for an intern to join me for Fall/Winter, and I am now accepting applications!
This position is primarily administrative and social media marketing focused, but some editing, photography, and on-location assisting may be offered based on need and interest of intern.
I am located in NE Portland and specialize in weddings and portraits. I have operated my business full time for 15 years.
Details
– Internship position will run from September 16, 2019 through March 16, 2020
– Location: my home based office is located in NE Portland
– Schedule: 10-12 hours per week (preferably 2 days per week, flexible options, weekdays between 10:30-4:30, and possibly some weekends depending on need and interest of intern)
– This internship is unpaid, but I am happy to work with you if you need school credit
Possible Responsibilities
– Scheduling and captioning Instagram posts
– Writing, scheduling and publishing blog posts
-Managing and creating content for Facebook
– Scheduling Pinterest content
– Running errands
– Placing print orders
– Ordering, packaging and shipping client items
– Managing business Facebook and Pinterest accounts
– Creating video content
-Designing album layouts
-Culling and/or editing images
– Possibility of assisting at weddings some weekends if desired (non-shooting)
Qualifications
I am looking for someone with a great work ethic who is genuinely interested in this line of work in some way (administrative, entrepreneurship, marketing, weddings, photography, etc). Should be organized and have extremely high attention to detail. Photography experience not required.
– Must have own laptop
– Must be familiar with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.)
– Must have an interest in marketing, photography, and the wedding industry
– Knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, InDesign and/or WordPress would be great, but not required
– Must be okay with a cat in the office (the cutest one you’ve ever seen may want some snuggles)
