This couple have known each other since they were babies. Both of their families have vacation lake houses next to each other, so they got to know each other over Summers and lake weekends! They had the sweetest most intimate backyard wedding day in the little town of Rowland, NC. It was a gorgeous day and everyone was such fun to work with!
An Intimate Backyard Wedding
When your parents have a yard as beautiful as this one, why wouldn’t you have your wedding there? In fact, this yard even has a beautiful gazebo. Of course the couple were married underneath it! The landscaping was beautiful, and although this property is in the middle of town, the layout made it feel private. A horse drawn carriage was waiting for them after the ceremony. It carried them around the block as guests transitioned to cocktail hour, and provided the couple some private time together.
Vintage Details & Cowboy Boots
The bride’s grandmother owns a huge collection of vintage costume brooches which the bride made good use of. She completely covered her bouquet with the brooches. It was so colorful, sparkly and unique! The bridesmaids wore brown dresses and they each wore their own unique cowboy boots. I love that these boots weren’t purchased just for the wedding, and that they are all actually well worn and well loved boots that are already owned. The groom wore a brown jacket and salmon colored tie. All of their colors worked very well against the autumn colors and changing leaves.
I love the image of the two of them standing in front of a bright yellow tree. The NC evening sun in Fall is so pretty and sparkly. I also love the emotional photo of the bride’s grandfather wiping a tear away during the reception.
