This Stevens Pavilion wedding at Hoyt Arboretum was intimate, meaningful, and full of emotion. Fewer than ten family members gathered for a deeply personal ceremony in Washington Park’s Arboretum. The setting held special meaning for the couple. They spent many early dates here while navigating a long distance relationship. Now they live together in California, but this place still feels most special to them.

Portraits at the Rose Garden and Arboretum

We began the day at the International Rose Test Garden. I met the couple there and we wandered through blooms and pathways for portraits. We also explored a bit of the Secret Garden, which always feels tucked away and peaceful.

The couple was relaxed and excited, soaking in every moment together. The light was soft, and the gardens gave us endless beautiful backdrops. Afterward, we headed to Hoyt Arboretum for more portraits.

We hiked up to the redwood grove, which is always a favorite. The towering trees create such a calm and grounding space. It was the perfect transition into the ceremony portion of the day.
