Do you know about NW Wedding Underground? It’s a project that I started last year that features the best wedding venues and vendors around (like this one featuring The Evergreen & Voysey Wedding inspiration)! For each feature, a team of vendors get together to decorate the venue and show off what they do best. Photos and videos are created with vendor interviews and a tour of the space. This was our fourth episode (see more about it on the NwWU website), and I have many more coming in 2020!
THE EVERGREEN & VOYSEY WEDDING INSPIRATION
Our fourth episode features The Evergreen & Voysey wedding inspiration. The Evergreen is located in a lovely historic building in central SE Portland. It is a huge open space, which gives a ton of freedom in designing the day as you like! It has a ton of windows, 2 large skylights, and original hardwood floors. There are built-in hang points so you can hang up to 250 lbs. Circus acts anyone? There is a wrap around bar on the main floor, a large mezzanine as well as a gorgeous bridal suite upstairs. It is above and connected with both Loyal Legion as well as Voysey speakeasy, which can be rented for your event as well!
ALL ABOUT THE TEAM:
Amanda Bridwell of A Perfect Day By Amanda Lynn joined us for all the planning and design of the day! She not only offers planning services, but she has a pretty great selection of rental items as well. Almost all of the decor was provided by her company. She’s awesome!
Shelby Renee, of Shelby Renee XOXO did the makeup. She partnered up with her favorite hairstylist, Katie Horton, of Primps And Bows. Together, the two of them worked magic on our bride, Nicole Kohri, in record time! Shelby also did makeup for Angela & myself, and we absolutely loved it! These two are a dream team, and have such positive energy!
Our model Nicole wore a dress from a&be bridal shop, located on NE Alberta St. It’s such a cute shop and they focus on offering the most current and unique dress designs from around the world. Our dress was designed by Tara Latour. We also got a gorgeous cathedral length ombre blue veil from a&be. It was designed by Sara Gabriel.
All of our flowers, and the fun ceremony backdrop was created by Lush Floral Design! Wendy is the owner of Lush, and she’s such a sweetheart. She is into more romantic and traditional designs, and loves any wedding or event that is over the top in lush arrangements.
Once again we were joined by Rebecca from Bee’s Custom Cakes. She created a beautiful marbled watercolor cake that was so pretty and equally tasty!
