This Tiny Creekside Retreat wedding in Washington was one of the most laid back and unique celebrations I have photographed. The venue sits along Abernathy Creek in Longview, Washington, and it was the perfect match for this sweet, intimate day.

A Hidden Gem Along the Creek

I have known the owner of My Tiny Creekside Retreat for years through her creative ventures, including My Tiny House Village in Sherwood and her Teardrop Trailers which are fun for adventure elopements and honeymoons. When I learned she had moved the tiny houses to a larger creekside property to grow into a retreat and wedding venue, I knew it would be something special.

The couple planned an intimate and casual celebration surrounded by nature. Their ceremony took place on a platform by the creek, framed by a blue wooden backdrop draped in white and orange fabric. Dried flowers added the perfect touch of texture and warmth. Most of their guests stayed overnight right on the property, which made the whole event feel like one big cozy gathering.

Creekside Portraits and Personal Touches

After the ceremony, we took portraits by the water with family and friends. The couple even stepped right into the creek for portraits, and I loved it. There’s something so joyful about couples who aren’t afraid to get their clothes soaked for the sake of unique photos.

Their dog joined the day, white rabbits hopped around the property, and guests took photos at an adorable handmade photo booth backdrop. The reception tables sat beside the creek under the trees, with the sweetheart table glowing beneath vintage lampshades the couple hung from the branches. Every detail felt thoughtful and personal.

A Relaxed Celebration Full of Joy

The couple created a weed-friendly area for guests, which added to the relaxed and welcoming vibe. The groom was especially excited about photos of his new bride taking dab hits, and she happily obliged. Their stunning cake was baked by the bride’s sister and friends, and it was almost too pretty to eat.

They only wanted a few hours of coverage, so I packed up once dinner began. Still, I found myself wishing I could have stayed longer to soak in the peaceful sounds of the creek and the laughter echoing through the property. This Tiny Creekside Retreat wedding in Longview was beautiful, heartfelt, and refreshingly real.
