Just when I think I’ve seen the prettiest vineyards and venues around Portland, I get surprised again and again! Their wedding at Domaine de Broglie vineyard in Dayton Oregon was just a short drive from Portland. Therefore, it’s a perfect option for a venue if you want the beauty of wine country without needing to stay overnight.
Rainy Wedding at Domaine de Broglie Vineyard
The venue is at the top of a hill overlooking acres and acres of vineyards and other pretty views that can be seen for miles. It was beautiful. Their ceremony was outside overlooking the vineyards and view, and who would have thunk that we’d have a thunder storm in the middle of August? But we did! There was rain and thunder and lightning all during the ceremony, but it didn’t stop the show and I think it made it all the more special. I had such a great time and all the details were just perfect!
Ceremony vs. Reception Colors
The ceremony florals were a pale lilac and ivory color theme, but the reception florals were a vibrant purple and orange color theme. This was the first wedding I’ve photographed with a different color theme between the two parts of the day, but it was really refreshing! Because the ceremony and reception were in different parts of the venue, it worked really well and created a nice contrast in mood. For instance, the ceremony was sweet and romantic, and the reception was cheerful and fun!
In short, if you’re thinking about having your wedding at Domaine de Broglie, I highly recommend it! I can’t wait to work there again!
