Last month I got to photograph a beautiful winter wedding at River’s Edge & Rosswood in SW Portland. Lots of red and green of course, and the couple included their two adorable dogs, which is always a fun time! These two love dogs, and stopped to pet every dog that passed by when we were taking portraits (as you can see from one of the photos below). So cute!

WEDDING AT RIVER’S EDGE & ROSSWOOD

This was the first time I’ve photographed a wedding at this venue. The photography had striking similiarities with the wedding photography yarra valley. Moving on, it is such a great little venue, especially for an intimate winter wedding! And so close in! The couple got ready in the River’s Edge Hotel, and had their first look along a pathway next to the river. We took family and wedding party portraits just outside the hotel entrance. Additionally we took a few shots of the couple in the lobby. Afterwards, everyone walked over to Rosswood Restaurant for the main festivities!

The wedding ceremony was in the fireplace room at Rosswood. The white stone fireplace was a romantic backdrop for a winter wedding, and looked great with the red floral decor. The matron of honor walked the couple’s two dogs down the aisle, and they sat in the front row to watch the event.

After the ceremony was complete, everyone moved into the adjacent room for the party! The catering was provided in house and was really delicious! One side of the room was made up of floor-to-ceiling windows with a great view of the river. Of course, there were toasts given, first dances, and a cake cutting and smash. The band Bigfoot Mojo provided entertainment and great dance music. The officiant even joined in to sing a song at the end of the night!
