This wedding at Nordic Northwest Nordia House looked like one of the most joyful celebrations of the year. One of my associate photographers captured this beautiful day while I was out of the office for two weeks, showing my three nieces around Oregon for their very first visit. Looking through these photos, I definitely had a little photographer FOMO. I would have loved to be part of this one.

A Garden Ceremony Full of Personality

The day began at the bride’s childhood home, where everyone got ready together. The couple shared a first look before heading into the backyard garden for the ceremony. The setting could not have been more personal.

The ceremony took place beneath the bride’s childhood monkey bars, transformed into a gorgeous floral arbor. Skinnie Rose Design covered the structure with bright, lush blooms that completely transformed it. I love details that tell a story, and this one was unforgettable.

After the ceremony, everyone spent time mingling in the gardens before portraits with family and the wedding party. The beautiful landscaping created the perfect backdrop for every photo.

After portraits, everyone headed to Nordic Northwest Nordia House for cocktail hour and the reception. I love the modern Nordic architecture and all the natural light throughout the building. It is such a unique venue, and the clean design lets every wedding feel completely different. Having Broder provide the catering was the perfect finishing touch.

Looking through the reception photos, I could not stop smiling. These two genuinely looked thrilled to be married. They broke into spontaneous dancing throughout the entire day, even before the reception officially began.

Once the music started, the dance floor absolutely exploded. The couple had an incredible choreographed first dance that wowed everyone. The bride and her best man followed it with a hilarious choreographed routine. It was the perfect way to launch the party.

The bride’s long hair added so much movement to the dancing photos. Every spin, jump, and twirl made the images feel even more alive. The reception looked like one nonstop celebration, and the guests matched the couple’s excitement all night long.

This wedding at Nordic Northwest Nordia House was elegant, playful, and completely unforgettable. It is exactly the kind of celebration that reminds me why I love this job.
