Looking for wedding inspiration and photography at Ironlight Lake Oswego? You have come to the right place! Join me for my day of Wedding Photography at Ironlight Lake Oswego! Learn about this amazing venue and get to know the vendors who came together to make it all happen for NW Wedding Underground. NwWU is a website I started last year to help couples find awesome venues and vendors in the area.
I recently did some wedding photography at Ironlight Lake Oswego and got to chat with the owner, Sonal Haladay. Ironlight is a brand new venue that was dreamed up, designed by, and managed by three sisters-in-law. It is located in Lake Oswego, offering gorgeous sweeping views of Mt. Hood and the Cascades. The venue itself sits atop the fourth floor and is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows for those amazing views. Ironlight can accommodate up to 250 guests including a welcome area, two outdoor terraces, and an executive suite/bridal lounge. The venue provides tables, chairs, and linens if needed. They also have a full-service kitchen and work with only the best caterers.
Samantha Nutt, of Samantha Rae Creative Events, joined us again and helped coordinate and pull everything together! Sam offers day-of coordination, full-service planning, and “dog detail”. Yes, you read that right! Do you want your dog in your ceremony? She will happily take care of all your dog’s needs during the event!
Angela Hoyt, of Bridge City Blooms, provided us with her beautiful flower creations! Located in Portland, Bridge City Blooms grows a lot of their own flowers, but often sources from other local growers. Angela is so talented, she even hand-painted baby’s breath to create a colorful abstract table runner for us.
Patience Kaufman, the owner of Bite Me Cookies & Treats, created the cutest micro cake for us. A black cake, with colorful abstract shapes from the invites. It was a cinnamon spice cake with peach cobbler filling, which tasted amazing! She loves creating funky and out-of-the-box cakes with inventive flavor combinations made from scratch!
Shantel Dix, of Shantilly Makeup Artistry, provided colorful and fun makeup for our bride. She enjoys bringing out each person’s unique beauty and personality through make-up! She specializes in full glam for parties to editorial looks for magazines and is even a published artist!
Marissa Nwerem, of Makeup By McCweepy, styled both our bride and groom model’s hair. She can also do wedding make-up, but we had her focus on hair for the day. Marissa specializes in fantasy and classical makeup artistry, Eyelash artistry, and Hairstyling.
We rented the gorgeous black noir stoneware china and flatware from The Party Place in NW Portland. They also provided the funky chairs which were used for both the ceremony space and the reception space. I have been renting decor from them for some time now and they are always great and have so much to choose from!
Trixy Woodhouse of Black Thistle Co. created the invites and signage for the event. I have worked with her before in the past, and she is always creating new and fresh ideas. She created the guest name cards for the seating at the table, and each one was perched upon its own little art easel. So cute!
We couldn’t decide between two bridal gowns, so why not do both! Our beautiful bride Sabrina Botez wore two different dresses provided by Stephanie Dong, of Stephanie Mai Couture. Many of her designs include sheer fabrics, deep cuts, and sexy slits creating a very soft yet sexy look to them.
My favorite part of this photoshoot was the huge abstract painting created by Therese Murdza. It was the perfect colorful backdrop for the art museum wedding theme. Therese is currently located and working out of Portland, Oregon, and has shown out of her studio often. Her artwork is worth checking out in person!
