I’ve been looking forward to this Hotel deLuxe Vintage inspired wedding for what seems like FOREVER, and it did not disappoint! I knew after photographing their engagement session last year that these two were going to have a beautiful and very thoughtful wedding, with lots of fun details.
Hotel deLuxe Vintage Inspired Wedding
This Hotel deLuxe vintage inspired wedding was just amazing. The venue is a fun old-Hollywood glamour boutique hotel in Downtown Portland. They were married in The Screening Room, and their reception followed at Gracie’s Restaurant. Everyone got ready in the hotel, and then the bride and groom had a “first look” by the Timbers staduim. The bride surprised the groom by having musicians play and sing The Lumineers, Ho Hey song during their first look! It was so sweet! All their friends and family gathered around to watch them see each other for the first time of the day. There were tears everywhere.
The bride wore a sequin top dress that was simple yet unique and so beautiful. Her hair and makeup were vintage inspired, and her shoes were turquoise. The couple made small flags that read “yay!”. Guests held these up during the ceremony and reception which was fun! The chandeliers in the Screening Room, along with the baroque backdrop used behind the ceremony, were perfect additions to pull the theme together. In addition, a velvet curtain hanging behind the backdrop during the ceremony was also a nice touch. The ceremony aisle was a white runner that read “Be Married!” at the beginning.
Reception at Gracie’s
The reception was at Gracie’s Restaurant, in the hotel. On account of it’s tall ceilings and windows, cozy booths, and chandeliers, it also lends to a vintage theme. Centerpieces for the tables were bouquets of flowers in vintage teal pitchers. The couple loves good food, therefore they placed a big focus on the meal served. It was delicious!
