This Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden wedding was so sweet, intimate, and full of natural beauty. It was my first time photographing a wedding there, and my first visit back since before the pandemic. I used to shoot family sessions at this garden all the time, back when it was open until dusk. Although the hours are shorter now, it remains as breathtaking as ever.

A Ceremony at the Jane Martin Site

The couple exchanged vows at the Jane Martin site. This spot sits right along a charming stream with the bridge in the background. Only their closest friends and family gathered, which made the ceremony feel intimate and deeply personal.

I loved how quiet and peaceful it felt in the garden during the ceremony. The sound of the water mixed with the laughter of their loved ones created the perfect setting. It was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful smaller weddings can be.

Portraits in the Garden

Before and after the ceremony, we explored the garden for portraits. The couple wanted to make the most of their time, so we walked to several areas for photos. Every corner of the garden offered something unique. The flowers and greenery made for the most lush backdrops.

I especially loved capturing them together along the pathways, surrounded by lush plants and bright blooms. These portraits felt timeless, and the couple’s joy made them even more vibrant.

Short and Sweet Celebration

After spending a couple of hours in the garden, the group headed into town for dinner together. I was not asked to cover that part of the evening, so my time ended in the garden. It was short and sweet, but so memorable.
