This Gold Medal Garden wedding was full of laughter, color, and intimate family moments. The Gold Medal Garden is within the International Rose Test Garden in Portland. It was such a beautiful day.

Getting Ready Time

I began the day at the bride’s mother’s home. Natural light filled every corner, and the space was full of personality. The bride has a deep love for her mom’s eclectic trinkets and artwork, which made the setting even more special.

The atmosphere was cozy and laid back. The bride got ready with her mom and brothers nearby. Later, the groom arrived with his mom and sister, adding to the intimate vibe. Once the bride was ready, the couple shared their first look. I loved the bride’s colorful and non-traditional dress! It was so unique and everyone kept commenting on how it was “perfectly her”. I also loved the groom’s green suit. It was such a nice combo together.

Laughter filled the house throughout the morning. Photographing laughter is one of my favorite things, and this wedding had plenty to capture. They also tied corsages onto their mothers’ wrists, which was such a sweet touch. There were also many heartfelt tears throughout the day, which made the balance of emotions even more powerful.

Ceremony at the Gold Medal Garden

We all hopped into Ubers and made our way to Washington Park. Portraits with the couple came first, then family photos surrounded by roses. Once guests arrived, everyone gathered in the Gold Medal Garden for the ceremony.

The service was led by one of their closest friends, which made the vows feel even more meaningful. Afterward, more portraits were taken with friends, and champagne was popped to celebrate. It was such a joyful and relaxed afternoon among the flowers.

Dinner at Enoteca Nostrana

After the ceremony, everyone headed to Enoteca Nostrana for a private dinner in the upstairs event space. The room was colorful, stylish, and perfect for celebrating.

Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour before dinner was served. Toasts were shared between courses, and the love in the room was undeniable. It felt like the perfect ending to a vibrant day.
