Wedding at Cubanisimo Vineyards
This wedding at Cubanisimo Vineyards in Salem, Oregon, was just gorgeous. No one expected a rainy and chilly June day. Regardless, we had just enough pockets of dry time for couples portraits, the ceremony, and the first dance!
Wedding at Cubanisimo Vineyards
As much as I love spending a free day in Oregon’s wine country, I admit I have never checked out what the Salem area has to offer. Cubanisimo Vineyards is such a pretty property, with a well-laid-out tasting area that is perfect for hosting a wedding!
When I arrived, the couple had just finished getting ready in the owners’ beautiful home. We took a few portraits on the grand staircase, and then when it stopped drizzling outside, we made some portraits outside around the house. The house overlooks the vineyard and has an amazing view.
A Rainy Wedding Day In June
The ceremony was originally planned to be in the grass overlooking the vines, but it was soaked and soggy, and not feasible for everyone. Also, the rain was pretty steady throughout the day! So, the new plan was to hold the ceremony underneath the tent by the tasting room. But, it did stop raining just in time for them to have the ceremony on the patio, just beyond the tent instead of underneath it!
After the ceremony, it started raining pretty hard! There was a great covered entrance area that we were able to use for all the family formal portraits. I used a large umbrella to stay dry, and everyone else stayed dry underneath the covered entrance.
More Fun Details
The couple hired their favorite taco truck to serve tacos and burritos for the reception. They were so tasty! I always love when couples incorporate food trucks into their wedding day!
Right after dinner, it stopped raining just in time for the couple to have a first dance on the patio. And then the dance party began! We grabbed a few more portraits around the vineyard during this time as well.

So fun to get to see all of the moments captured. As the florist I typically disappear after things are set up and don’t get to see all of the love and beauty of the entire day.
