This adorable couple were married at the most unique venue, the TIPI VILLAGE RETREAT in Marcola Oregon.  Having a wedding at Tipi Village Retreat is a must for anyone who loves spending as much time outdoors as possible. And especially if a camping style weekend with all your friends and family sounds perfect.

Tipis fill the forest for guests to stay overnight. There is plenty of extra room for tent camping, and there are also a couple of guest houses. There is a beautiful yard next to a creek where you can wade in the warmer seasons. The dance floor is outdoors, under a giant tree. An open meadow is available for the ceremony, where guests can also put up their own tents for staying overnight.  

There was a brick pizza oven where the owners made a huge variety of wood fired pizzas for the reception. And they even have a hot tub for everyone to relax for the after party.  I loved it!  

I was so excited when these two asked me to photograph their wedding. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting them a few times over the years and they are just the sweetest couple, with the most amazing friends.  They have so much love for each other and it poured out all day.  

When I first arrived, Kelsey was sitting in a chair next to the creek; all her friends sitting in the grass around her feet. She told the cutest detailed story of how they first met and all about their first dates.  

I think this wedding wins for most touching vows ever. Kelsey read all about her feelings. Everyone was on the verge of tearing up. THEN she said, “I wrote that in my journal 2 weeks after we met.” Everyone lost it. Most tears I’ve ever seen at a wedding.
