Weddings at Redland Family Farm are always the best. This venue is such a dreamy spot tucked just 30 minutes outside Portland in Oregon City. It’s a working Christmas tree farm with so many unique and magical spaces spread across the 50-acre property. There’s an olive grove, a plum orchard, a gorgeous barn, a vintage airplane hangar, a sun-filled pavilion, and even an old-growth timber area. Basically, no matter what kind of vibe you’re dreaming of, this place has the perfect backdrop.
Every inch of this property feels thoughtful and intentional. Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement or a full weekend celebration, the layout allows for so much creativity. You can host each part of your wedding day in a different area of the farm and it will still feel cohesive. The light is incredible, the getting ready spaces are spacious and charming, and the indoor-outdoor flow is spot on. As a photographer, I love how versatile the venue is… it truly is a photographer’s playground. Plus, the owners are absolute gems and go above and beyond to make sure your day is smooth and personal.
This styled shoot was inspired by cottage garden whimsy… think patterned linens, wild florals, and soft pastels. We used several different spaces across the farm to show just how much is possible here. The hangar was transformed into a cozy ceremony and lounge space, the barn hosted the reception table, and the pavilion was used for cake cutting. The plan was to also shoot under the massive old tree on the lawn, but rain had other ideas. Still, every corner we used was pure magic.
We brought in some amazing vendors to keep the cottagecore party going. Bliss Bar rolled in with their mobile horse trailer bar, serving vintage-inspired cocktails. Cubed Craft Ice made rose petal-studded cubes that were almost too pretty to melt. Pretty Party Platters brought a colorful charcuterie display, and Sweet Heart Cakes delivered a floral-adorned beauty of a cake. Willaby’s Catering added fresh fruit-forward bites, perfect for snacking in between setups.
Totem Events helped coordinate all the moving parts of the day and made it look effortless. Hannah Paula Studio created breathtaking floral installations and wearables, including pieces for the models and even a floral collar for our dog model (yes, there was a dog model). Rentals from Lily and Cane and Setting the Table added vintage charm, and linens from BBJ LaTavola brought in the soft, romantic textures.
Kailee from Selkie Stationery tied the whole look together with beautifully crafted menus, signage, and place cards that played off the soft pastel palette.
Hair and makeup was handled by Tarasina at Glowboutique, who gave our models the perfect polished garden party look. Vouture Bridal Boutique provided the gowns, suits, and bridesmaid dress—every look felt timeless yet fresh. Jewelry was from Ken and Daughter, a family-run jeweler with decades of experience, and the pieces they provided were understated and elegant.
Kersyth painted a live scene of the day (which guests always go wild for), and our officiant Lui brought his unique energy and ritual work to create something special. We also had support from Lindsay of Tails and Vows, who ensured our furry friend was pampered, posed, and well cared for throughout the day.
Picture Perfect Party Rentals brought in a custom floral photo booth setup made with real carnations, and Casperson Productions captured video footage. A few other photographer friends joined in as second shooters to help document the day, and we even had a content creator team capturing behind-the-scenes moments on their phones.
