This Forsyth Country Club wedding reception included so many pretty details. It was simple and classic, with sage green and peachy pink as the main colors. The bride designed her dress and had it custom made. I must say it was quite amazing! In fact, it had such beautiful movement, and was a great weight, so I give the bride’s design 5 stars. I got some fun photos of her bridesmaids helping to arrange it for portraits, and another fun shot of the bride lifting the skirt high while walking.
Forsyth Country Club Wedding Reception
The FCC in Winston Salem is a beautiful venue for a wedding. Actually, this couple had their ceremony at Cenetary United Methodist Church, which has one of the most gorgeous sanctuaries I have ever seen. It is built in a Romanesque style and has towering piers and arches throughout the expansive space. Afterwards, everyone headed to the country club for the reception and party!
I think this may also be one of the most beautiful classic cakes I have ever seen as well. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever photographed a wedding with a 5 tier cake before! If I remember correctly, the cake was made by a family member! The entrance parlor, which was very green, was my favorite space of this venue. Although you would think that an all green toned room would be too much, I thought it was quite lovely. The black and white tiled floor helped to provide balance.
Sunset over the golf course provided the best golden light. Because of that, we ran outside for a few portraits with the couple. To sum up, this wedding as well as both the ceremony and reception venues were pretty fantastic.
