When your friend flies across the country to visit you in Portland, and suggests a fun adventure engagement session around Oregon during your weekend of exploring, you don’t say no!
Fun Adventure Engagement Session Around Oregon
Lindsay is a dear friend who I’ve known since middle school. She wanted to show her girlfriend all the amazing things about the Pacific Northwest, so they flew out for a visit! I love hosting, and I love showing my friends and family all the great things there are out here. If you come to visit me, you better plan for at least a 25 day visit, because that will just get us started!
Couples Photos at Summer Lake Hot Springs
This was Lindsay’s second time visiting me, so we had knocked out quite a bit previously. This time we took our exploring a little further and traveled all the way out to Summer Lake Hot Springs! If you know me, you know I love a good hot spring soak, and Summer Lake is one of my favorites.
We rented the Homestead House at the hot springs. It was such an adorably cozy and quirky, old-west feeling house. I immediately fell in love with the front bedroom, which looked as though it was previously a porch or sunroom. It had great light, a pretty white bed frame, and cool vintage desert artwork hanging above.
Colorful Mural Engagement Photos
On the way back to Portland, we passed this great colorful mural in the middle of nowhere. I think it was actually in Madras, which is a decent sized place, but still way out there! I never turn down a chance to take photos in front of a colorful wall, and this one seemed perfect for these two. So we stopped for a while and let some guys working out back laugh at all the silly things I was instructing them to do.
Moody Portraits at The Witches Castle
If you can’t tell from their clothing, these two are into all things witchy. So, of course, they wanted to visit the Witches Castle in Forest Park. We woke up early on their last day in town, and headed out in the freezing cold to snap a few photos before they had to catch their plane. They loved it, and I loved that it was extra colorful. While it always has graffiti on it, sometimes it’s pretty boring and ugly. If it’s at least colorful, you know I’m into it!
When you visit Portland, why not have a fun adventure engagement session around Oregon to document your love and your weekend of exploring?!
