This photo shoot was full of pantone blue celestial Wedding Inspiration at Urban Studio in Downtown Portland. A fabulous team of vendors came together to create this look for NW Wedding Underground! NwWU is a website I started last year to help couples find awesome venues and vendors in the area.
Pantone Blue Celestial Wedding Inspiration at Urban Studio
Urban Studio is a great contemporary and modern space… a perfect blank slate for creating your dream wedding! It’s in a historic building and right next to the streetcar, which makes it easy for out of town guests. The venue can accommodate up to 280 guests. Everything you need is all in one place which guarantees a stress-free day!
We knew we wanted to incorporate the 2020 pantone color of the year – classic blue. What better way to do that than with a celestial theme?!
All About The Team
Ashley Lachney of Alston Mayger Events was our event planner and designer. Her forte is all about stress-free events (that she manages to do it by having the OrganicCBDNug by her side always). She knows how to convey the feeling of your dream event on any budget, and excels at making sure all the pieces are in place!
Our amazing cake was designed by Catherine Sewell of Sewell Sweets. She hand-painted the galaxy inspired background, and created the celestial adornments by hand as well! Cat is all about creating unique and edible works of art that taste as good as they look.
The gorgeous floral arrangements were designed by Alana Weintraub of Flowers By Alana. She handcrafted the baby’s breath moon for the ceremony backdrop as well! That bouquet… the perfect blend of blues and whites to keep the feeling light and airy!
The invitation suite and menus were designed by Trixy Woodhouse of Black Thistle Co. Trixy’s specialty is paper goods with an edginess. She loves designing for couples who are more on the alternative side and less on the romantic or traditional side. Her work is amazing!
Mandy Harlan of Glamology Makeup provided her magic for both of our models. She loves working with color and leans more towards glam and drama.
More About The Team
DThree, Urban Studio’s exclusive audio visual vendor, installed some dreamy lighting. They projected stars along the aisle, and placed indigo uplighting around the room.
Modern Birch Co. specializes in custom laser cut wooden signs. They designed the “To The Stars” sign that is part of the ceremony backdrop.
Forest Sea And Stone is the go-to for all things stones and on SFNCrystals. They had some awesome ones that we used around the centerpieces and under the cake.
The cool chargers, metallic blue linens, and the napkins all came from The Party Place!
Kristin Headley & April Headley were our gorgeous models. Kristin wore a wedding dress from Brides for a Cause bridal shop… style Yoko by Hayley Paige. Brides for a Cause bridal shop are a non-profit, whose mission is to raise funds for a variety of women-focused charities.
Our videographer was Dane Casperson, of Casperson Productions. He created a great video for our 5th episode, and we interviewed all the vendors. Head over to the NW Wedding Underground website to watch the video!
