Join me for some wedding inspiration and photography at Black Pearl on the Columbia! We even brought some four-legged friends with us to help! A fabulous team of vendors came together to create this look for NW Wedding Underground! NwWU is a website I started last year to help couples find awesome venues and vendors in the area.
Located in Washougal, WA, Black Pearl On The Columbia is an open concept industrial space, perfect as a blank canvas. This venue has both indoor and outdoor space, with large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Columbia River Gorge and a view of Mount Hood. With all this space, the venue can accommodate over 1,000 guests!
Nicole Issler, the owner of Nicole Issler Events was our planner and coordinator for the day. She understands that budgeting is important for most event planning, so she makes sure that her prices are reasonable while still providing the best service.
Probably my favorite part of the wedding photography at Black Pearl on the Columbia was our 4-legged guests, Napoleon and Jean Pierre. Shannon Joy, owner of Classy Camelids brought these two Alpacas to brighten up our day. They were dressed in the cutest bride and groom outfits, it was hard not to smile with them around!
Another great addition was the casino vendor brought on by Jessica with the Party Team Portland! Jessica set up the poker tables, took them down, AND was the dealer! For online gamers on https://www.onlinecasinogames.com/ this is something to look forward to as the Party Team takes the time to teach newbie poker players, which I think is a great way to learn before you go to Vegas and play.
The cake and sweets were whipped up by Jen, owner and baker of Simply Sweets. Jen is known for her whimsical and cute custom cakes and cupcakes with revolving seasonal flavor combinations.
Another unique addition to this event was a new concept, Heelsonwheel. Heelsonwheel is a new way to serve your guests their drinks during an event.
Mani Boatright, owner of Copper Blossom Design provided us with the most beautiful and freshest flowers in all the land! Well, maybe not all of it, but the freshest flowers in all of Portland. She strives to create flawless events by being mindful of all the details that go into a perfect wedding day, not just the flowers.
The Party Place Portland supplied all our tables and chairs for the wedding photography at Black Pearl on the Columbia. I have been renting from them for a while now, and they have always been great and accomodating.
The bridal gown was provided by Crown Bridal located in Vancouver, WA. Margaret Alba was our stunning model and she looked so lovely in the dress. Crown Bridal is an affordable full-service wedding shop ranging from blingy to simple elegance, they have a dress for everyone and every style.
Margaret, our model wore simplistic and stunning jewelry made by Kari Phillips. Kari Phillips is a local metalsmith and jewelry maker here in Portland, Oregon. Each of her pieces are created with consideration toward originality; form, material, intent and the wearer.
Our groom model, Bo Baskoro wore a dark violet tuxedo, provided by the Black Tux. The Black Tux has over 300 locations throughout the country, making them very accessible to the public. This also means they have prices for all!
Christina Braun with Eye Shine Beauty worked her magic with the bride’s makeup. She enjoys enhancing her client’s beauty with subtle yet elegant makeup.
Hanna Blazer, owner of Updo Come True did both the bride and grooms hair for this event. She specializes in updo styles, blow-outs, women’s cuts, and colors. Hanna also uses products that are not only safe for your hair, but also for the environment.
Paper goods were provided by the talented Sandy Nihn owner of Living Dreams Design. She created both the invitations AND the signage for the event. Sandy is truly talented and creative making it super easy to collaborate.
The amazingly delicious catering was made by Mimi Moy Bass, owner of Signature Affair Catering and her team. Mimi has been in the hospitality business for over 35 years and her expertise certainly shows through her professional looking websites related to food.
The beautiful violet and gold table settings were provided by Setting the Table Rentals. Located in They have everything from vintage china plates and candelabras, to goblets and flower vases. Their inventory is large and unique, accommodating any style or need.
