I had so much fun photographing this Summertime wedding at Edgefield McMenamins in Troutdale, Oregon. I always love visiting the McMenamins properties, and even though it has taken me 12 years to complete only half of my Passport, it hasn’t lost its charm. And it is an especially great time experiencing a property during a wedding and watching all the guests enjoy the space!

Summertime Wedding at Edgefield

This couple came all the way from the Midwest for their wedding in Oregon! I photographed each of them getting ready when I arrived. The bride and her bridesmaids were set up in The Study, a sweet library-themed room that is a public space when it’s not being used for an event. Meanwhile, the groom and his groomsmen were in the honeymoon suite, where they all cheersed with some scotch. Next, I photographed the first look . We used the courtyard of the Administrator’s house for the location. Then we walked all around the venue for couples portraits. We met up with family and the wedding party by the reception hall, and did group photos. Then it was time for the ceremony!

Blackberry Meadow & Blackberry Hall

The ceremony was behind Blackberry Hall, in the meadow. The flower arch was one of the most gorgeous and elaborate I’ve ever seen! I could have photographed it all day. We all know how much I love photographing color, and these flowers did not disappoint. You’ll definitely be seeing lots of these on my Instagram for the foreseeable future! After the ceremony, the guests got a fun surprise! The famous wedding llamas were waiting for everyone as they exited the ceremony. I think every wedding should include the wedding llamas. After a cocktail hour in the meadow, everyone headed indoors for the reception.
