This wedding at Polaris Hall was so colorful and pretty! Polaris Hall is also a concert venue, and I’ve seen many shows there. Not to mention, this venue is like, less than a mile from my house, so that’s a definite plus! This couple was so adorable. There were so many kids included in the day which was so sweet! One of my favorite photos of the day was a shot of the kids looking around out of control in front of the couple during the family portrait time.
Polaris Hall was originally built in 1930 by the Odd Fellows. It’s just off of Mississppi Ave & Killingsworth St in NE Portland. The building itself is pretty cute, and the architect design of the interior is full of natural light and original details. The main floor has a large ballroom area with a removable stage. On the same level is a small bar with cafe style seating, and an ordering window that opens into the ballroom. The lower level has several large multi-purpose rooms. There’s also a lovely bridal suite with lots of natural light, a vintage pink couch, and antique fixtures.
There’s a bit of landscaped yard area surrounding the venue, but the neighborhood streets have some great character for portraits as well. There are a few colorful walls, pretty trees lining the sidewalk (especially in fall), and a few murals as well.
I loved the little vintage touches, and the floral bouquet was gorgeous. The groomsmen were looking dashing in their wooden groomsmen watches. Can you believe the bride made all the matching paper flowers?! It looked especially great with the twinkle lights incorporated in. They looked so pretty on the wedding arbor and sweetheart table. Also, isn’t the bride’s dress gorgeous? And looks so flattering on her! I love a nice v-neck on the back of a dress.
The couple also built their own photo booth area for their guests. The backdrop was sparkly and pretty and everyone had such a great time playing around with it!
